Alertacall is a member of the Telecare Services Association

Alertacall is a telecare service that confirms the safety of older and disabled people who live on their own.

How our Safety Confirmation Service works

Each day you let us know you are safe by pressing a Special Button on the Alertacall Telephone we provide. This takes just a few seconds.

You need to press the Special Button before an agreed time each day. This agreed time can be between 8am and 10pm. For example you could choose to press the Special Button before 9am each morning to confirm your safety - after you have got up and are dressed or as late as 10pm at night to confirm you have got home safely.

If the Special Button is not pressed by the agreed time we initiate the 'Safety Confirmation Routine'.

This means a member of our team will try telephoning you to confirm your safety. If we cannot confirm your safety we will then call up to three people who you have chosen, these could be neighbours, friends or family members. You need to give us at least one contact. The Alertacall Telephone is big-buttoned, very robust and well suited to those with poorer eyesight, it can also be used as a regular household telephone.

Benefits of Alertacall

Unique service

Alertacall is a unique service that works on the principle that when someone cannot confirm their safety that is when help is probably most needed. Alertacall is a whole new concept in telecare.

Effective and reliable

There is a saying that all the best ideas are the simplest and this is certainly true of Alertacall which is effective, easy to use and very reliable. Alertacall could be perfect for you and your family.

No pendant to wear

Alertacall is not a panic button or nurse call system, it is a safety confirmation system and as such has many unique benefits including the fact there is no cumbersome equipment to wear or carry at any time.

Works if you are unconscious

If you are unable to raise help for yourself because you are seriously incapacitated or unconscious, when you don't confirm your safety to us we will first try calling you and then up to 3 nominated contacts.
