According to Mencap around 1.4 million in the UK are affected in some way with a learning disability, which is classified as being mild, medium or severe. These can be conditions that affect an individual’s ability to plan and organise, and many conditions have an impact on memory.  The effect of having a learning disability also increases the possibility of experiencing a mental health issue.  However, unlike mental health challenges, for those with learning difficulties, it is a lifelong challenge.

Our services provide support to these higher needs individuals, enabling them to cope independently, especially for those living alone.  This, in turn, helps them manage their condition and increase their wellbeing.

We provide a daily check, either initiated by the individual or by Alertacall.  This works very successfully with those who may be forgetful and do not press their OKEachDay button or have forgotten the process if they need help personally or at their property.
