After the upheaval caused by the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic, it is great to be able to make a return to in-person events again.  As an organisation, Alertacall is really looking forward to networking with industry peers and meeting some of you for the very first time.

This year, the Connected Futures Summit will promote collaboration and idea-sharing between industry leaders. It will also provide a platform for housing organisations like you, to benchmark your own digital transformation journey against others in the sector.

The timing couldn’t be any more perfect. The pending digital switchover means that many traditional hardwired alarms systems in supported housing will no longer work reliably. Consequently, many housing providers are looking at more cost effective alternatives that offer increased functionality for them and their residents.

The Connected Futures Summit allows social landlords to learn more about how technology in being used by others in the sector and latest digital services in housing. On our stand, Alertacall is demonstrating our full range of services, including the Housing Proactive system with its portable touchscreen for all residents, digital telecare, WiFi, video calling as well as our comprehensive fire safety solution. Tried and trusted by over 50 housing providers across the UK, our enhanced housing management system is perfect for use with both older individuals and people with additional needs. Ultimately, it creates more connected and secure homes for residents and helps social landlords create efficiencies and deliver a better housing service.

CEO and Founder of Alertacall, James Batchelor will speak to attendees on Tuesday 2nd November at 11:30am as part of a panel session. James’ expertise in using technology to help enable older people to live independently began with the changing needs of his own grandmother. James will speak alongside Jason Kingston from Cube Thinking and Kelly Scapens, a Supported Housing Manager from ForHousing. The panel will discuss embracing the opportunity that digital switchover offers to transform the delivery of services in supported housing in more detail.

The benefits of using WIFI and other enhanced digital services in social housing are endless. This includes its use in both communal areas and individual residents’ homes. Technology can help improve staff engagement with residents and residents engagement with one another. It also delivers the objectives from all areas of the organisation, such as housing, assets, IT, health and safety and finance, and, therefore, requires a joined-up approach to implement.

Tickets for the Connected Futures Summit are available here. If you happen to attend the event, make sure to call over to our exhibition stand and say hello! James’ panel discussion on behalf of Alertacall will take place in Breakout Room 1 from 11:30 to 12:15.  We look forward to seeing some of you there.
