Sales Person for Socially Positive Company

Are you an exceptional SALES PERSON who wants to build a career with an award-winning socially positive company?

We are looking for exceptional sales people, with honesty, integrity and passion to sell our life-changing services to the social housing and retirement living sector. There is great earnings potential, ongoing training, and a superb team to work with – but most importantly, we are looking for people who buy into our mission of ‘improving the lives of as many people as possible’. This is your chance to sell something that does real good and saves lives.

What you will be doing

  • Reaching out to various stakeholders at existing and new clients to develop relationships
  • Listening carefully to what clients say to understand how our services can help them
  • Attending events all over the UK to promote Alertacall services and generate leads
  • Delivering compelling sales presentations and Q+A at meetings and events nationwide
  • Ensuring the smooth handover of new clients to the account management team
  • Working with colleagues to create quotes, proposals and other documents
  • Taking your own initiative to generate opportunities outside of those created for you

Essential skills and experience

  • 3+ Years proving selling success
  • An attention to detail because our sales are complex
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • The innate ability to “own” and “drive” opportunities
  • The ability to adapt and learn quickly
  • Up to date computer skills, using cloud based services
  • Honesty, a desire to “get on with it” and self-awareness

Desirable experience

  • Multi-stakeholder selling over lengthy sales cycles
  • Working with social housing or retirement living providers
  • Selling products around digital engagement
  • Selling telecare or other assistive technology

If you do not have all these experiences, but do have a tremendous capacity to absorb new information, then training can be given.

Salary and other details

You will work from our Warrington office a min of 2 days a week – so ideally will live within 90 minutes. You will otherwise work from home, or be or travelling around the country to meet with clients and potential clients. You will report to our Head of Client Development and work in a close and supportive team, with ongoing training and development. The role is permanent and full time Monday to Friday.

Salary: TBD

The bonus structure is based on your own success and partly that of the entire team.

Quantity Surveyor (Qualified or Training)

The role holder for this important position will be an active leadership point within the team for our next generation of innovations to ensure we deliver our services in line with our Mission and Values.

Are you looking for that next career opportunity – that will allow you to build on your experience to date amongst a dynamic team that is really focussed on delivering the best outcomes for our customers, so many of which need our support.

You’ll be involved in a variety of projects in a client facing role, involved in the Bid & Solution Design, Scoping and Implementation of our services. You’ll be working with and managing our subcontractors alongside our Project Manager acting as the point of Compliance and Quality control.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is either qualified, or training as a Quantity Surveyor.

  • Health & Safety Qualified/Trained, competent in RAMS.

  • Is an assertive communicator that can listen sensitively and is able to adapt communication to the audience both internally and externally.

  • Has the ability to engage, motivate and support multiple subcontractors.

  • Takes accountability for the delivery of projects, seeing through from conception to completion, with a real focus on detail.

  • Works in partnership with sub contractors and our strategic partners.

  • Is able to identify issues, obstacles, and opportunities and then develop and implement effective solutions, helping clients to implement the best solution.

  • Can manage costs against a budget, including and change in line with adjustments in project scope.

  • Competent in the use of CAD tools.

Full stack software developer

A fantastic opportunity for a talented Full-Stack Software Developer to become part of our team based in beautiful Windermere, extending the platform that powers our unique business and helping us create superb new products that will improve lives. The role offers a high degree of freedom to explore emergent technologies. This role is home based with the occasional need to travel.

You will need proven experience of bringing software projects to life within an agile team using Python, AngularJS, RESTful services/microservices and various other technologies like Node.js that are used in modern web applications. You will also be supporting migration between technologies.

An interest or real experience in the design of software architecture would be an advantage as well as leading on projects from user story through to production. We’re looking for smart and likeable people who enjoy problem solving and making the world a better place.

Working pattern

What do our Customer Service Team Members do?

The work you will do at Alertacall is meaningful and makes a real difference to our thousands of customers. Each day, we make contact with vulnerable people across the UK as part of our OKEachDay Service. We speak to these customers over the phone to confirm everything is okay with themselves and their property. You’ll be involved with a variety of tasks including talking to customers directly to confirm their safety, helping them report repairs and speaking to their housing officers and family members.

Our team strives to be Caring, Reliable, Passionate, Knowledgeable and Progressive. We are looking for team members who can demonstrate these values by providing excellent customer service to our vulnerable customers. This role is majority Home Based though we do require candidates to be able to attend the office when required. We have two offices: one in Windermere (The Lake District) and one in Warrington.

 

What skills do I need to be able to do this job role?

  • A clear and friendly telephone manner with the ability to make friendly and empathetic phone calls to older and vulnerable people.
  • Excellent computer skills and a keen attention to detail when inputting customer data from all types of calls and voicemails.
  • Great listening skills so that you can understand and act upon a customer’s needs.
  • The ability to follow our priorities, processes and procedures, so we can ensure our customers are kept safe at all times.
  • A strong desire to reassure and help.
