It’s supposed to be the most wonderful time of the year, but winter this year is once again presenting difficult challenges for so many, including a large number of our wonderful clients and their customers.

On our mission statement, team Alertacall pledges to “help as many people as possible feel safe, connected and informed using ingenious technology and contact with people who care”. And we do care, we really do.

During the winter period, the Alertacall team increases the number of calls we make to our customers, especially those who are most at risk of experiencing social isolation.

We also send our customers, including our clients and their residents a Christmas card. The resident card includes signatures and festive selfies of the Alertacall team for a more personal touch. The card sent to residents and OKEachDay customers can be viewed below.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic and with an increasing number of our clients now working remotely, we sent out a virtual card for the second year in a row. This way, we can be sure that the team on the other end is sure to receive it in time for the festive season.

For 2021, we decided that we would allow our clients to pick one of three chosen charities and make a donation to their organisation.

Each year, we support organisations who we admire and who we recognise work tirelessly to improve the lives and well-being of individuals across the United Kingdom. As a small gesture of thanks for their efforts in helping those in need, our chosen charities this year were Silver Stories, Women’s Aid and Shelter.

Silver Stories is our wonderful charity partner who work with older people, connecting them to school children to decrease loneliness through the art of storytelling.

Women’s Aid do incredible work with vulnerable women and children who experience domestic violence. They provide emergency accommodation and outreach support services to those in need.

Lastly, Shelter, a national organisation that aims to end homelessness and improve housing conditions across England, Wales and Scotland.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a healthy and safe winter break and a Happy New Year.

If you are looking for a team to support you in all aspects of your residents lives, as well as providing housing management and digital telecare services, get in touch with our team to arrange a demo in early 2022.
