Alertacall is excited to be speaking at Total Housing 2020 in conjunction with Sussex based housing provider, Worthing Homes. The conference is hosted by the Chartered Institute of Housing and is being held at Hilton Brighton Metropole Hotel on 23 and 24 March 2020. Visitors will also be able to meet members of the Alertacall team who will be showcasing the award-winning Housing Proactive service and its touchscreen device, which helps to improve digital engagement, on stand 23.

Total Housing 2020 brings together housing professionals from across the South East and London. This year’s conference programme focuses on three key areas:

  • The big picture – Cutting edge content with keynote speakers sharing their experiences.
  • Building homes, creating communities – How we deliver the homes we need, where we need them.
  • Good management, good services – The right knowledge, skills, behaviours, values and ethics – be inspired with shared ideas and experiences.

As part of the conference, there is a Fringe programme which provides a range of quick-fire sessions designed to ignite ideas and provide practical solutions to the issues facing the housing sector. Alertacall has the first speaking slot in the Fringe on Wednesday 25 March at 10:35 am in conjunction with Worthing Homes, which has over 3,783 properties housing 10,000 customers in the Sussex coastal area. The case study presentation is entitled ‘Creating a home for life: using technology to promote independent living for older residents’. The session will show how by using new technology, such as that provided by Housing Proactive, housing providers can improve resident communication, detect changing housing needs in residents earlier and help plan services and resources more effectively. Benjamin Lambert, Head of Client Relations, will be representing Alertacall alongside Clive Cavanagh, Community Development Manager, from Worthing Homes.

Housing Proactive gives residents more flexibility in the way they engage with their housing service and ensures daily contact with residents 365 days a year. On the Housing Proactive stand, delegates will have the opportunity to view the touchscreen devices provided to residents and see first hand its advanced messaging capability. The touchscreens are fitted with any network SIM cards, meaning they will work with or without WiFi and are designed to help improve digital engagement amongst older residents and individuals with higher needs.
