News from Alertacall plus articles and insights on how to enhance outcomes for people with higher needs in the housing, health and social care sectors.
It was a fantastic night at the 2019 Welsh housing awards, where Alertacall picked up the ‘New Ideas and Approaches’ award with United Welsh.
The Welsh Housing Awards 2019, organised by the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Cymru, were held at a ceremony on Friday 15 November 2019 at the ICC Wales, Newport. The awards recognise and celebrate the creativity, passion and innovation of housing organisations and individuals across the breadth of the sector in Wales.
The award was presented to Alertacall and United Welsh for their joint deployment of Housing Proactive, Alertacall’s housing management system. Housing Proactive combines ingenious technology and a passionate, highly trained team to help provide enhanced tenant communication, better repairs performance and improved service delivery.
Tenants engage with devices to pick up news and information from the housing team in relation to their property or tenancy. The system ensures daily contact with tenants in a way which gives them greater flexibility on the levels and types of contact they receive. By Alertacall taking responsibility for the traditional morning calls, it has saved hundreds of hours of staff time for United Welsh and enabled the ‘Thrive’ housing team to focus on other tenant initiatives.
It was a fantastic night for United Welsh who also won in two other categories: ‘Working with Other Sectors’ for their Wellbeing 4U Project and ‘Building Safer Communities’ with the initiative Tackling County Lines.
Congratulations to all the winners and shortlisted entries! You can view a full list on the CIH Cymru website, where you can also download ‘Good Practice Compendium – 2019’ which goes in to the details of each shortlisted submission.
