Alertacall is excited to officially launch its touchscreen as part of its Housing Proactive service at Housing 2019, the biggest housing event to take place in Europe. The touchscreen will enable housing providers to better address the aims of their digital agenda and further improve resident engagement with their own self-service portal. The Chartered Institute of Housing’s (‘CIH’) flagship annual event, Housing 2019 is being held at Manchester Central between the 25 – 27 June. You can visit the Alertacall team on stand B63.

Housing 2019 is the must-attend event for local authorities, housing associations, key partners and suppliers, government, housebuilders and developers. With 450 speakers, 400 key exhibitors and an expected footfall of over 12,000 delegates across three days – Housing 2019 is set to be the biggest meeting place for the whole housing sector. The Alertacall team are looking forward to welcoming delegates at the exhibition and demonstrating how Housing Proactive and the OKEachDay tablet will have far-reaching benefits for both housing providers and residents.

Housing Proactive is a housing management system designed specifically for properties with higher needs customers. The service enables housing providers to increase contact with residents, improve repairs performance and deliver service efficiencies. The service significantly improves how housing teams communicate with residents and staff gain access to a range of useful online management reports in real time, including occupancy tracking for monitoring the status of properties. The service is tried and trusted by 40+ housing providers across the UK.

As part of the service, residents are given access to equipment with which they routinely engage with to collect news, updates and other important information in relation to their property or tenancy. If residents choose not to engage with their device, a highly trained member of the Alertacall team will call the resident.

The touchscreen will now be made readily available to housing providers as one of the range of devices provided by Housing Proactive to be installed at properties.

more about the touchscreen – getting residents connected

The touchscreen has been specifically designed for the Housing Proactive service, and have been developed with ease of use in mind and excellent messaging capability. The tablets will utilise 3G & 4G signals with an ‘any network’ SIM card inside them which means the tablet will work even if there is no wifi in the building. Of course, where wifi is available, the devices will utilise this method of connectivity, opening up the possibility of video conferencing in the future.

Importantly, the touchscreen could offer the opportunity for residents to access your own self-service portal which can be integrated into the tablet in a number of ways.

Our solution will help many housing providers address some of the key aims of their digital agenda and further increase resident engagement.

Importantly, the touchscreen will be provided as part of the Housing Proactive service, which is eligible for funding by housing benefit. There are no equipment, installation or maintenance costs for the touchscreen and free training will be provided to residents and housing staff on how to use them.
