Alertacall is proud to be celebrating 15 years’ of business in June 2019. Alertacall provides world-class services designed to improve contact with older people and higher needs groups. From a ‘simple’ idea, the company has grown to provide a nationwide service that improves the lives of tens of thousands of people and provides cutting edge technology to organisations all over the UK.
Our Founder James Batchelor, inspired by the needs of his own Grandmother Eveline, invented the world’s first “I am okay” button – a simple way to confirm people are safe each day and offer them contact. We now call this our OKEachDay button.
Over the years, the technology and system provided by Alertacall have gone through significant enhancements to help organisations in the housing, social care and health sectors improve contact with their customers. As of June 2019, Alertacall currently works in partnership with over 40 organisations all across the UK, including local authorities, housing associations and charities.
Customers who benefit from our services are given complete control over contact with the OKEachDay button which, when pressed, gives them access to relevant news and information. Those not pressing their button receive a friendly call from our expert team who are trained in communication techniques for people with specialised needs.
The content and nature of any contact depend entirely on the service the customer is using and the outcomes required for that organisation, for example, the Housing Proactive service creates housing management benefits for sheltered and supported housing.
The team at Alertacall has also grown significantly to support our ever-increasing number of clients. The company now employs over 70 team members from all across the UK, with offices located in Windermere, Cumbria, and Warrington, Cheshire. The company has a strong and experienced leadership team and comprises passionate experts in customer services, technology, operations and product development.
