Alertacall kicks off first quarter of 2024 with two successful events

It has been a busy but exciting couple of months for events! Our first event of the year was exhibiting at the inaugural Housing Digital Live in Edgbaston, Birmingham at the beginning of February. At this event, we showcased our brand new stand. As you can see from the pictures below, we really stood out from the crowd and received great feedback from everyone we met there!

The highlight of the event for us was our CEO and Founder, James Batchelor chairing ‘The Transformation Journey’ conference session which featured a panel of CEOs and Directors from Stockport Homes, Raven Housing Trust and Thorngate Churcher Trust.

At the beginning of March, we headed to Glasgow for CIH Scotland’s Housing Festival. We were delighted to be returning to this event after a successful show last year. We decided to make our stand even brighter (if that was at all possible!) and added to our range of LED lightboxes!

Aside from exhibiting and meeting lots of new faces as well as familiar ones, our highlight and favourite conference session was the roundtable breakout: An Ageing Population. The speakers talked about how the changing demographic of Scotland is impacting the stock and services they need to provide and whether they are they building what is required and working with health and care partners to deliver the services they need.

This topic really resonated with us as the last roundtable Alertacall hosted was to discuss the ageing crisis in general needs accommodation. At this roundtable, featuring Sir Norman Lamb and senior leaders from housing associations, such as Places for People and Johnnie Johnson Housing, we discussed a wide range of issues, including the difficulty of tailoring digital solutions to meet the long-term needs of older people, the potential for collaboration between the housing sector and “health and social care”, and the need for consistency and support from central government.
