After a lovely sunny Summer, we were excited to be back in Liverpool for The Housing Community Summit and to meet with some new and familiar faces from the UK Housing sector!

We were delighted to host another panel session, this time on the first day of the event to discuss ‘Better Ageing With Better Tech: Overcoming Barriers To Adoption’. Our CEO and Founder, James Batchelor MBE, took to the showcase stage with Former Minister of State for Care and Support, Sir Norman Lamb, chairing this panel session alongside sector leaders:

  • Christine Candlish, Director of Living Plus at Places for People
  • Richard Walker, Home Services Director at Pickering & Ferens Homes
  • Stewart Davison, Founder of Elehan Consulting

It was a fantastic and informative session, in which panellists shared their experiences of how technology can help housing providers meet customer and regulatory needs as well as the challenges faced internally regarding technology adoption, what actions were taken to overcome these and the changes required to scale proven technology to improve outcomes.

Our Client Development team were also at the event and enjoyed meeting delegates, especially while attending the ‘Meet the NHF Partners’ session on the National Housing Federation stand on day 1.

We were also delighted to sponsor the Social Housing Round Table event at a local cafe bar, and it was wonderful to meet the community in-person rather than online, have a chat over a beer and listen to a live panel (with plenty of audience-led debate too!) to discuss ‘Can Social Housing move from one size fits all to truly person-centred services?’

Overall, a great time in Liverpool and we’re sure we’ll be back next year…
