News from Alertacall plus articles and insights on how to enhance outcomes for people with higher needs in the housing, health and social care sectors.
Who is Adrian and what is your role?
Hi, I am the Chief Operations Officer at Alertacall and am responsible for leading our teams in the set up and ongoing operations of our services.
What does a typical day look like?
Hugely varied! I could be supporting the Business Development team with Solution Design on Beyond Warden Call or Housing Proactive projects, meeting clients as part of installation planning, or ongoing installation projects. Negotiating contracts, resolving any operational inquiries that come in, working with the Contact Centre Management team to review operational performance, meeting with other Leadership Team members to progress our priorities and supporting the team – whether that’s virtual, in the office, or out on a walk.
What do you like most about working at Alertacall?
What we do – our core purpose has real meaning, keeping people connected and safe is so important, and we constantly get great feedback directly from our customers and their residents on the service and support we provide. I love seeing people develop as part of the work they do whilst at Alertacall. We are always on a journey which tends to offer unique opportunities for team members to pick up new skills and learn new things. I love meeting new clients and watching our service develop and evolve with them, and working with our existing clients to help implement new services.
Outside of Alertacall, what makes you tick?
My family, friends, sport, walking our dog amongst other things. Emma, my wife, works for Teenage Cancer Trust as a Regional Fundraiser. We have 2 boys, Toby is 17 and in his last year of A Levels, Max is 15, and has just started GCSEs – they love playing various sports, which is great to be involved in. We have a cocker spaniel so it’s great to head out on a walk with her for some time out, and maybe stop for a sneaky pint on the way back! I’ve always run, and still do whenever I can, which is something that helps me keep a balance.
Tell us one thing we might not know about you
When I was growing up we used to spend our summers on my cousin’s farm, which are still some of my fondest childhood memories.
